The use of “cookies”

While visiting the website of MyForce, “first party cookies” and “third party cookies” can be placed on the hard drive of the user’s computer. A cookie is a text file placed by the server of a website in the browser of the computer or mobile device when the website is accessed. Cookies cannot be used to identify persons, only machines. However, the data collected in this way are not linked to the user database and are automatically deleted after 30 days.

“First party cookies” are technical cookies that are used by the visited site itself and that aim to make the site function optimally. Example: settings that the user has made during previous visits to the site, or even: a pre-filled form with data that the user has made during previous visits.

“Third Party cookies” are cookies that do not originate from the website itself, but from third parties, for example an existing marketing or advertising plug-in, such as cookies from Facebook or Google Analytics. For such cookies, the visitor to the website must first give permission – this can be done via a bar at the bottom or top of the website, with reference to this policy, which, however, does not prevent further browsing of the website.

Through the settings of the internet browser, the user can ensure that cookies are not accepted, that a warning is received when a cookie is installed or that the cookies are subsequently removed from the hard drive. Certain graphic elements may not appear correctly and certain applications may not be useable. However, cookies are not used for advertising purposes. By using our website, the user agrees to the use of cookies.

Google analytics

The MyForce website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics also uses “cookies” to help the website analyse how visitors use the site. The information generated by the cookies about the use of the website (including the IP address) is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google uses this information to keep track of how the website is being used, to prepare reports on website activity for website operators and to offer other services related to website activity and internet use. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so or if these third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not combine the visitor’s IP address with other data available to Google. The visitor can refuse this via the settings of the internet browser. As a result, it is possible that not all of the website’s options can be fully utilised. By using this website, the visitor gives permission for Google to process the information in the manner and for the purposes described above.
